Digital Accessibility Resources

“Digital Accessibility” is the work of providing better access to digital resources for all users, and especially for users with disabilities that may prevent them from accessing and using resources. This area has become more important as so many learning experiences have some digital components - whether that’s a website, an app, or a Zoom workshop.

As part of our work with the TPS Consortium, we are developing some (hopefully) approachable guides and resources on tackling Digital Accessibility for consortium members. We welcome questions and requests - please use the form below to get in touch. - Bert Snow & the KidCitizen team.

A primer on digital accessibility, shared as a Google doc.

 Approaching Accessibility: a primer

A primer on improving accessibility for online “digital” resources. (This is a public google doc that will open in a new browser tab.) You’ll find a very brief history of digital accessibility and the standards that are used, an intro to assistive tech and devices, along with tips on easy ways to get started and make progress within your constraints. And links to detailed resources!
